we are a Halifax-based company responsible for the construction & development of projects ranging from subdivisions & commercial plazas to high-rise mixed-use developments with residential, commercial, and retail tenants, to traditional apartments.
We are currently hiring an *Experienced* Excavator Operator to join our team and continue expanding our portfolio.
*Duties & Responsibilities*
* Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials,
* Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift,
* Excavating, loading and off loading rocks, debris and other materials,
* Advising the foreman of required upgrades, repairs and replacements as necessary.
*Qualifications*
* Hardworking individual,
* Must have your own personal protection equipment (hard hat, steal toed boots, reflective vest,
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
* Experience on a commercial site is preferred
* Midrise demolition experience is an asset
*Requirements*
* High school diploma or equivalent,
* A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines,
* Capacity to follow directions,
* Prior experience operating heavy equipment,
* Excellent vision or use of prescribed lenses,
* Sharp decision making skills, particularly when under pressure
