*We are currently recruiting for a casual Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage for one of our industrial client sites in British Columbia. *
DETAILS ABOUT OUR CURRENT OPPORTUNITY:
Fly in / fly out from either Edmonton or Calgary, Vancouver, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Prince George free charter provided from these hubs to site.
*Accommodations:* Cedar Valley Lodge. Camp/food included: private bed/bath, pub food, mini golf, basketball courts, soccer fields, games room, dry bar, gym, media rooms, theatre. Complimentary WIFI.
Day rate: $1,079.40
*We'd like to review your application if...*
· Nurse Practitioner Qualification licensed in BC
· CPR/ BLS
· ACLS
· Prescriptive authorization
· Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain standards in line with AB regulatory body
· Comply with International SOS Standards and Procedures
· Assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose disease, formulate and prescribe treatment plans
· Basic disease prevention, coordination of care and health promotion.
· Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed
· Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones
· Ensure that patients are managed in a professional and customer friendly manner
· Patient Advocate
· Responsible to ensure that all clinical staff on site undertake skills assessment testing in basic life support and other identified clinical skills on an annual basis
· Conduct health assessments including recording complete medical and psychosocial history
· Follow up on a patient to determine the effectiveness of recommended treatments
· Provide primary care to patients who attend the clinic and oversee the care provided by colleagues
Prescribe medications to patients in line with the statutory limitations of the qualifications
