Job details
Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Odours. Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Services for the homeless. Work setting: Community agency. Social service or charity agency. Tasks: Food preparation. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Complete logbooks and reports. Light cleaning duties. Perform reception and clerical duties. Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on special needs of client to facilitate their readaptation and independence objectives. Liaise with community agencies or partners, and identify additional or alternative services and provide referrals. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). Emergency child care first aid and CPR. Mental health first aid Certificate. Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate. Cultural Awareness Training. CPR Certificate. Food Safety Certificate. Target audience: Culturally diverse groups.
