Education: Bachelor's degree. Electrical and electronics engineering. Electrical and electronic engineering technologies/technicians, other. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Clean. Work setting: Office. Manufacturing and industrial plant. Tasks: Design and develop power equipment and systems. Maintain equipment. Supervise the building and testing of prototypes. Test power equipment and systems . Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components. Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certified Engineering Technologist (CET). Equipment and machinery experience: High voltage equipment. Equipment, eystems and controls experience: Electric motors, generators, drives and motor controls. Electronic testing equipment and systems. Type of industry experience: Manufacture. Area of specialization: Design. Semiconductor. Testing. Operations or production. Repair. Electronics (industrial).
