As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals seeking support and guidance through difficult times. If you are a compassionate and experienced counsellor registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and looking for a fulfilling part-time contract role, we would love to hear from you. *What you?ll do* * Conduct individual counseling sessions to assist clients in exploring their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. * Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and presenting concerns. * Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to promote clients' well-being. * Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting counseling sessions and progress. * Comply with ethical guidelines and standards set forth by the BCACC and other relevant professional bodies. * Provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients to express their concerns and emotions. * Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients. * Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of clinical counselling. * Follow the direction of the clinic director in servicing clients *Requirements:* * Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) status with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). * Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field from an accredited university. * Proven experience in providing individual counseling to diverse populations. * Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. * Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling appointments. * A genuine passion for helping individuals overcome challenges and improve their mental health. * High level of empathy, compassion, and understanding of the human experience. * Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the job. Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location.
