<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Tundra Site Services is looking for <strong>Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanics</strong> with a strong background in mining & experienced with Komatsu equipment for a client in the Canadian Arctic; this is a permanent and well-serviced camp.</p><p>These positions are available immediately, can start on a contract basis, but have long-term potential in the form of either contract extension of conversion to client staff in the medium-long term. We can work with you to develop a pathway that makes the most sense given your situation. All hired candidates will undergo an evaluation period. Long-term employment strategies would be implemented only for top-performing workers; we are looking for build out a strong and cooperative team.</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br />• Red Seal HET/HD Mechanic Off-road ticket with mining/Komatsu experience<br />• Great attitude, organized, team player<br />• Willingness to work either days or nights; whichever is required by the client<br />• Ability to meet all pre-screening requirements including criminal record check, drug test, and medical<br />• A strong commitment to site safety policy and procedures<br />• Strong verifiable references from previous employers</p><p><strong>BENEFITS:</strong><br />• 12hrs workdays<br />• Employees hourly with 1.5x OT or contractors at flat rate. Competitive wages/contract rates; to be discussed with qualified candidates<br />• Tools provided by the client - must bring own CSA boots and indoor/outdoor work clothes (fire-retardant not required)<br />• Charter flights from Calgary or Yellowknife; candidates from further afield can discuss flight requirements and we'll work to integrate into the plan<br />• Our client's permanent camps are well-serviced and organized with excellent food, facilities, and safety programs<br />• Most equipment would be serviced in large service bays</p><p>Payroll Employees or Independent Contractors (Owner/Operators LTD or INC) are welcome to apply.</p><p>All well-experienced off-road HD Mechanics are encouraged to apply - if this isn't the right job for you we'll keep you in mind for other opportunities.</p></div>Company Description<div>Tundra Site Services is supplier of specialty industrial manpower services to clients across Canada and the Northern Territories.
