Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Air Brakes Endorsement. DZ class license. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Handling heavy loads. Repetitive tasks. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone. Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Judgement. Organized.
