Employing more than 950 staff, our compassionate and knowledgeable team provides leadership in health promotion, early detection, treatment and research for cancer while living our values of courage, integrity, vision-driven, innovation and collaboration.GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITYThe Human Resources Consultant is accountable for providing the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency with a full range of human resource services in the areas of staffing, employee and labour relations, organizational learning, training and development, compensation, organizational effectiveness and professional practice.- Develops, implements and revises internal human resource practices and procedures.- Develops, implements and revises Agency-wide human resource policies to ensure they are responsive to the needs of the organization and communicates them to all Agency staff.- Responsible for providing assistance on special projects.- Maintains currency with emerging HR trends and with legislation that affects the workplace (e.g. The Employment Act, the Trade Union Act, the Human Rights Code and The Income Tax Act).- Regular contact with others outside the organization including health authorities; SAHO; Saskatchewan Ministry of Health; SGI; WCB; long-term disability programs; union executives; legal, medical, education, and rehabilitation professionals, and insurance and pension companies.- Contributes to g...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationSaskatoon, SK
