APPLY TO EDUCATION POSTING NUMBER 3910209<p>Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board invites applications for the position of:<p>EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT: CLASSROOM ASSISTANT/PHYSICAL CARE <p>St. Luke School <p>1 . 0 FTE Temporary <p>Effective i mmediately for an indefinite period but not to extend beyond June 26, 2025 <p>Mandatory Requirements: <p><p> Two-year post-secondary diploma in a relevant field such as Developmental Service Worker, Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, or Practical Nursing (formerly RNA diploma).<p> Experience working with students with multiple needs including physical needs, Autism, developmental delays, behavior, and anger management needs. <p> Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience working with children with behavior exceptionalities.<p> Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.<p> Working knowledge and experience of behavior modification strategies.<p> Knowledge of augmentative communication strategies.<p> Experience using technology and digital tools and resources that support the remote learning environment (e.g., Google Classroom, Google Meet) <p> Excellent interpersonal skills; and<p> Good written and oral communication skills.<p><p>Preferred Requirements: <p><p> Non-violent crisis intervention training would be an asset<p> French language skills would be considered an asset<p> First Aid training<p><p>Qualified applicants who wish to be considered for this position are asked to apply via Apply To Education posting number 3910209.
