SCHOOL: Tuc el Nuit Elementary School (Home Base) <p> Oliver Elementary School <p> Okanagan Falls Elementary School <p> Osoyoos Elementary School <p>POSTING: #56 - 2024/25 <p>POSITION: Okanagan Language Teacher <p>APPOINTMENT: 1.0 FTE Temporary <p>DURATION: September 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 <p><p>Qualifications Required:<p><p> First Nations Language Teaching Certificate in Okanagan Language (as recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch);<p> recent successful experience teaching Okanagan language;<p> fluent in speaking and writing in Okanagan and English;<p> ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;<p> knowledge of current 21st century pedagogy and assessment practices;<p> demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the professional community at the school and district level;<p> effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;<p> ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and<p> must have the following: First Nations Language Teaching Certificate in Okanagan language and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.<p><p> <p><p><p>CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: On-going until filled. <p>For further information please contact N.
