Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Work setting: Commercial. Tasks: Prepare production and other reports. Recommend measures to improve productivity . Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise workers and projects. Co-ordinate and schedule activities. Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions. Train or arrange for training. Prepare bids. Estimate costs and materials. Operate CADD and other computer software systems. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Recommend personnel actions. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Personal suitability: Excellent written communication. Judgement. Organized.
