Let?s break the stigma around cannabis! *About the Role* The position of *Retail Sales Associate *is responsible for all customer interactions and service that takes place on the sales floor. This is a full-time or part-time position operating a legalized recreational retail cannabis store in Mississauga, ON. *Address: *1077 N Service Rd, Unit 12, Mississauga (Applewood Village Plaza) *Main Duties / Responsibilities* * Greet customers at the entrance; engage in conversation and build a relationship to understand specific needs * Facilitate a welcoming and positive atmosphere for everyone in the store * Educate customers about cannabis products, strains and consumption methods *Day to Day Operations* * Be an advocate for our culture and brand by participating in promotional activities * Participate in routine store maintenance and ensure cleanliness is a priority * Complete customer transactions on the POS system * Monitor inventory and re-stock product regularly * Maintain in-depth knowledge of all strains and products in store inventory as well as industry wide product knowledge *Experience and Qualifications* * Minimum, 2-years of retail and/or hospitality experience * Cannabis knowledge is an asset, but not required * High School Diploma or equivalent * Valid CannSell certification * Must complete and pass a Criminal Record Check * Working knowledge of regulations as it pertains to selling cannabis in Ontario *Personal Characteristics and Requirements* * Exceptional customer service skills; you have a positive attitude, are charismatic, and are very comfortable engaging with customers * Ability to think on your feet and creatively problem solve * Open-minded and constantly identifying ways to improve * Passionate about creating a positive, memorable, and tailored experience for every customer * Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a professional demeanor * Team player who is passionate about supporting the overall success of the business * Uphold ethics, confidentiality, and demonstrate a high level of discretion at all times * Responsible and reliable * Must be 19+ years of age or older Experience: * customer service: 1 year (preferred) * retail: 1 year (preferred) * cannabis: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * CannSell (required) Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 ? 30 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay * Tips Benefits: * Casual dress * Company events * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Life insurance * Store discount Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * Every Weekend Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-01-17
