Location:&nbsp; Vienna, OntarioPosition: Research SpecialistEmployment:&nbsp; Permanent, Full Time&nbsp;&nbsp;Who We Are:Sandy Knolls Research Inc. is a Canadian contract research organization that conducts third party agriculture research on behalf of pesticide manufacturers, grower associations, and governmental organizations.&nbsp; Majority of our field trials consist of crop protection and nutrient inputs through the evaluation of pesticides and fertilizers.&nbsp; The data that we collect and submit to our clients act as supporting data for product label expansions and/or for the registration of new products into the Canadian market.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;What is a Research Specialist:A research specialist&rsquo;s primary role is to manage and fully execute all facets of their assigned field trials from trial establishment, application, evaluation, statistical analysis, and report writing; which may include but not limited to a broad-spectrum discipline of herbicide, fungicide, insecticide, growth regulators, bio stimulants, and seed hybrids in a diversity of annual and perennial field, horticulture, tender fruit, and specialty crops.&nbsp;Responsibilities:Conduct research experiments and collect dataAssist in the design and implementation of research protocols and proposalsPerform data analysis using statistical softwarePrepare reports and presentations summarizing research findingsMaintain accurate records of experimental procedures and resultsCollaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the research projectRecruit, train, and develop a talented team to assist in the proper conduction of research&nbsp;Who We Are Looking For:Sandy Knolls Research Inc. is seeking a competent and qualified candidate that has the capacity to take on full-time, permanent employment.&nbsp; This position will commence between January 1, 2025 and April 1, 2025 depending on the successful candidate&rsquo;s timeline.&nbsp; We offer a competitive salary and incentive package based on the candidate&rsquo;s knowledge and experience.&nbsp; The employment will be located at Sandy Knolls Research Inc. located just outside of Vienna, Ontario with time split between the office and the research farm.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Requirements:M.Sc. in Agriculture or equivalent experience in crop science, weed science, plant pathology, entomology, or agronomyMinimum of 1-3 years of experience managing field research trialsProficiency in Microsoft Office and ARM for data analysis and statistical modelingAttention to detail and ability to follow protocols accuratelyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously&nbsp;Assets:&nbsp;Knowledge on field, horticulture, tender fruit, and specialty crop agronomicsPesticide Licence under the Grower Pesticide Safety CourseTechnical experience with equipment, tools, lubricants, and chemicals&nbsp;&nbsp;Interested in Joining Our Team:Any and all individuals that demonstrate interest in this position with Sandy Knolls Research Inc. are invited to apply electronically with a cover letter and resume to the company&rsquo;s President, Mike Vereecken by clicking on APPLY TO THIS POSITION.&nbsp; Successful candidates selected for an interview and the next stage in the hiring process will be contacted.&nbsp;&nbsp;
