*Key Responsibilities:*

* *Diagnostic and Therapeutic Procedures:* Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging studies. Based on findings, PAs formulate and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications within their scope of practice.
* *Patient Education and Counseling:* Provide patients and their families with education on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of illnesses, empowering them to make informed health decisions.
* *Collaboration and Coordination:* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure integrated and patient-centered care. PAs also coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources as needed.
* *Administrative Duties:* Maintain accurate and timely medical records, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
*Responsibilities Related to Patient Forms:*
* *Gathering Patient Information:*
* Review patient charts and records to collect relevant medical history and treatment information.
* Conduct follow-up assessments if additional details are needed for the form.
* *Drafting and Completing Forms:*
* Assist in filling out sections of forms related to medical history, diagnosis, treatment plans, or test results.
* Prepare drafts for physician review to ensure compliance with legal and clinical guidelines.
* *Collaboration with Physicians:*
* Work with supervising physicians to finalize forms that require a physician?s signature or medical opinion.
* Ensure the information aligns with the patient?s documented medical conditions and treatment plans.
* *Patient Communication:*
* Explain the process of form completion to patients and manage expectations regarding timelines.
* Provide updates on the status of forms and clarify information as needed.
* *Forms Specific to Insurance, Disability, or Mental Health:*
* *Insurance Forms:* Document medical diagnoses, ongoing treatments, and any restrictions or accommodations needed for claims.
* *Disability Forms:* Outline functional impairments, prognosis, and the patient?s ability to perform work or daily activities.
* *Mental Health Forms:* Summarize mental health conditions, treatment history, and any professional recommendations for support or accommodations.
*Key Qualifications:*
* Must have successfully completed the Physician Assistant Certification Exam
* Must hold the CCPA designation
