We look forward to connecting and showing you why Sterling Health is a great choice for your next career! *The Role:* * _*We are currently hiring Health Care Aides to work at different supportive living facilities in Lacombe, Red Deer, and Sylvan Lake*_ * _*Shifts are typically: 7am-3:15pm, 3pm-11:15pm, and 11pm-7:15am. You do not have to be available to work all three types of shifts in order to apply! You work the shifts that best fit your schedule.*_ * You will assist with the day-to-day delivery of care and requirements of the resident * You will work closely with the multi disciplinary team to facilitate the best practices are being used * You will provide support to residents, their family and visitors during the resident's stay * Other duties as required *Qualifications:* * Completion of a recognized Canadian Health Care Aide program * Active HCA registration on the Alberta Healthcare Aide Directory * Current CPR / First Aid Certification / Equivalency required * Previous experience in the area of Gerontology and Designated Assisted Living an asset * Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in delivering excellence in customer service/patient care, employee communication and development *Successful candidates will be required to provide:* * A current and clear Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Sector Search, done within the last 6 months * Proof of a negative TB (Mantoux) test, done in the last 6 months * Proof of at least two COVID-19 vaccinations * A copy of their active Alberta Health Care Aide Directory registration *Attributes:* * You pride yourself on being on time and reliable * You are compassionate and genuinely care about the feelings and wellbeing of others * You have great communication and time management skills * You enjoy spending time with seniors * You are a helper at heart We thank all candidates for their application but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
