Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is seeking a motivated *Manufacturing Technician *to join our team. Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in the recruitment process. *Job Description* * Produces components by assembling mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components * Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints and assembly instructions * Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists * Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts * Conducts quality control checks * Maintain equipment and tools by completing pre-use inspections * Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts list and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials * Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements * Assembles components by examining corrections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies * Verifies specifications by measuring completed component * Maintain a self-motivated, positive, and outgoing attitude * Follow all company safety procedures * At all times, be part of the team *Required Experience and Skills* * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in the use of computers and various software programs * 1+ years of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment with hands on manufacturing and assembly functions * Experience reading and understanding manufacturing drawings and other working documents * Highly organized * Can work independently with minimal supervision * Able to lift up to 22kgs or 50lbs * Able to stand and walk throughout the shift * Punctual, reliable and responsible * Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field is an asset Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * RRSP match * Vision care Schedule: * Day shift Work Location: In person- LocationNorth Bay, ON
