* ·Supervise Packaging Department activities in collaboration with Packaging Manager, Shift Supervisors and Lead Hands. * Serve as back-up Shift Supervisor or Lead Hand as required. * Accomplish packaging production results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; and initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. * Assist in recruiting, selecting, training, and mentoring employees. * Complete packaging production plan by scheduling and assigning employees, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. * Communicate any schedule changes. * Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing packaging production standards. * Maintain safe and clean work environment by training and directing employees on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. * Maintain working relationship with union members and representatives by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. * Resolve employee problems by analyzing and investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action. * Complete and file production reports. *Qualifications Required:* * At least 3-5 years of experience as in a similar capacity or role in a manufacturing or production environment. * Having strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. * Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * HACCP, GMP, Food Safety knowledge is an asset. * Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) * Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Flexible to work any shift including nights and weekends. * Must be comfortable working in a hot environment (Bakery floor) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Vision care Schedule: * Evening shift * Overtime * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person Application deadline: 2025-01-05
