<p>SUMMARY OF THE POSITION<br>Person who drives an automobile and has the legally required license to do so.</p><p>SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:</p><ul><li>Supervise the loading and unloading of passengers (including handicapped passengers) into adaptive vehicle;</li><li>Transport passengers (including handicapped passengers) inside and outside of the facility to designated areas in a punctual and timely manner;</li><li>Guide passengers to the appropriate seat and monitor their behavior;</li><li>Operate adaptive vehicle and equipment such as the hydraulic lift; </li><li>Complete the mechanical inspection sheet, report any inconsistencies or repair;</li><li>Ensure safety by applying security and driving rules;</li><li>Responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicle and ensure comfort of the passengers;</li><li>Plan routes in advance to minimize the number of stops and maximize fuel efficiency; </li><li>Ensure that passengers arrive at their destinations on time and help them settle into their facilities.</li></ul><p>Education: * High school diploma;* Valid driver's permit class 4A meeting the standards of the Société d'assurance automobile du Québec and the Ministère des Transports du Québec.</p><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Excellent driving record: Driving Record Request (SAAQ clic online Services - Citizens).</li></ul><p>Knowledge and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Ability to operate the vehicle;</li><li>Excellent knowledge of passenger transportation, safety and defensive driving;</li><li>Knowledge of appropriate community or city routes and locations;</li><li>Excellent knowledge of Cree culture and language for drivers in communities;</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and listening communication, and teamwork skills;</li><li>Warehouse experience, heavy lifting;</li><li>Autonomous, flexible and discrete;</li><li>Observation skills;</li><li>Customer service clientele skills;</li><li>Empathy, courtesy, patience and resourcefulness;</li><li>Must be able to speak in a clear voice that all passengers can hear and understand instructions.</li></ul><p>Language:</p><ul><li>Fluent in Cree and English; </li><li>Fluency in French is an asset.</li></ul><p>Other:</p><ul><li>Occasional after hours' availability.</li></ul>
