Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Broaching machine. Engine lathes. Jig borer. Milling machines. Sawing machine. Turret lathes. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Repetitive machining operation experience: Turning. Milling. Equipment: SolidWorks software. Security and safety: Bondable. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Reliability. Ability to multitask.
