Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Group home. Drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. Mental health institution, facility or clinic. Private residence. Tasks: Administrative and office activities. Implement life skills workshops. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Resolve conflict situations. Implement substance abuse treatment programs. Implement behaviour management programs. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Supervision: 5-10 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification . Medication Administration Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Food Safety Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Team player. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. What is the highest level of study you have completed?.
