*Job Description* *Heavy Equipment Mechanic* *Primary Responsibilities:* * Perform repair work on fork trucks and related vehicles * Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components and/or systems * Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment * Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment * Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work * Service attachments and working tools * Verify and repair emission control systems * Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions * Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required * Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications * Rebuild powertrain components, hydraulic pumps and motors. * Repairs electrical equipment * Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. * Lubricates and cleans parts. * Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. * Initiates purchase order for parts and machines. * Reading and repairing hydraulic and electrical schematics and systems * Keep maintenance reports and documentation *Skills/Abilities/Qualifications* * Licensed or hold a Journeyman license in Automotive or Heavy Equipment * Possess or plan to attain a 310 License * Will consider truck (310T) or auto (310S) technician * Must be an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic with previous Aerial & Lift Truck experience * A minimum of *3 years* experience working with Heavy Equipment * Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills * Superior mechanical aptitude * Shop and/or field work experience * Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices * Valid driver?s license Qualified candidates, please send your resume and covering letter to: Luciano Corbo ?
