The strength of the company is in its ability to meet the changing needs of its customers and to provide outstanding customer service through its' dedicated staff.</p><p>Overhead Door specializes in furnish, installation and service of upward acting door and dock solutions. Our core business is installation and service of upward-acting door systems. We supply Overhead Doors and related products to new commercial building contractors, the new homebuilding industry, private businesses, and to homeowners.</p><p><strong>Role:</strong></p><p>We have an immediate opening for a Garage Door Technician in our Regina warehouse. Reporting to the Lead Foreman. This technician will service and install overhead doors. This role is a permanent, full-time position. There will be on call and overtime with this position. Willing to train the right candidate.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Diagnose problems, provide solutions, and carry out required work on overhead doors.</li><li>Regularly coordinate with the service scheduler on problem solving and required parts.</li><li>Contribute to business development, by actively seeking new customers and building relationships with existing customers.</li><li>Other duties, as needed and/or assigned.</li><li>Be able to take on out of city jobs as needed - Overtime and on-call as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Mechanically inclined.</li><li>Strong customer service focus.</li><li>Strong work ethic, team player and positive attitude.</li><li>Good communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Comfortable with heights (ladders & lifts).</li><li>Strong safety mindset.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Must have own tools. </strong></li><li>Experience in related trades or construction.</li><li>Possess a valid driver's license.</li><li>Relevant safety training and tickets are an asset (such as Fall Protection, Elevated Pork Platform, Standard First Aid, SCOT, LSE, etc.)</li><li>Wearing a hard hat and other PPE is mandatory for this safety sensitive role.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.</li><li>Must be able to work outside in all different weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat.</li><li>Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting, and kneeling.</li><li><span class="long-word">Managing/maintaining</span> equipment and tools required.</li><li>Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements including drug, alcohol, and health assessment.</li></ul><p><strong>We offer:</strong></p><ul><li>A positive work environment with competitive pay.</li><li>On call and overtime hourly rates above industry standards.</li><li>Comprehensive technical, safety and product training provided.</li><li>Opportunity to build a long-term career with locally owned company.</li><li>Excellent Health, Vision and Dental benefits as well as Long Term and short Term disability - offered for full time employees.</li><li>Bonus Program / Meal Allowances</li><li>Tool Allowance.</li><li>Cell phone allowance.</li><li>COR Certified workplace.</li><li>Equal opportunity employer.</li><li>Quarterly Staff Lunches.</li></ul><p><strong>To Apply:</strong><br />If this career opportunity sounds like the right fit for you, apply online with your resume and include your salary expectations.
