*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering delicious meals to our residents while ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. *Duties* * Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards. * Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and best practices. * Assist in menu planning, including seasonal dishes and special dietary needs. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage. * Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. * Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. *Experience* * Previous experience in meal preparation or cooking within the food industry is preferred. * Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. * Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment while maintaining quality standards. * Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
