The Police Support Services Department requires a regular full time Electronic Disclosure Clerk to work at the RCMP Detachment. Working within our Court Documentation Unit, this position works under the operational direction of the RCMP to assist investigations by providing electronic file maintenance, disclosure and administrative support. The successful incumbent will be required to assemble, organize and consolidate electronic disclosure packages pertaining to criminal investigations for submission to Crown Counsel in accordance with Provincial Crown disclosure MOU and Major Case Management requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will liaise with and provide assistance to file coordinators and investigative teams in the development and review of file information throughout the investigative and court cycle. Specific duties include assembling, organizing and consolidating electronic disclosure packages, including physical documents, photos, audio and video records, spreadsheets, maps and diagrams; ensuring that all disclosable material is organized and complete; and assisting with audio transcription and information vetting; attending relevant investigational briefings; converting digital, audio and video files to acceptable formats; and performing other related duties as required. Specialized related training will be provided as necessary. You will have completed courses related to the work including electronic disclosure, records management system or Adobe training, plus considerable related experience, preferably in a policing environment or an equivalent combination of training and experience. You must have sound knowledge of the criminal justice system and the software and databases used in the work, such as, but not limited to CPIC, PIRS, OSR, PRIME and JUSTIN. You will be required to obtain and maintain an RCMP security clearance as a condition of ongoing employment. Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge. Salary:$34.63 to $40.74 per hour(Pay Grade 19 - January 2024 rates) Hours of Work:You may work any 7 consecutive hours, exclusive of an unpaid 1 hour meal break, between the hours of 6:00am to 11:00pm, any five (5) consecutive days of seven (7). The City of North Vancouver currently works a compressed work schedule with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.
