*Overview* We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Deckhands to join our team in both log and barge towing capacities. As a Deckhand, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vessel. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a passion for maritime activities. Please research the position prior to applying. *Duties* * Deckhand duties for towing logs and barges alike. * Perform routine maintenance tasks on deck and equipment to ensure everything is in good working order. * Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure environment for crew. * Collaborate with other crew members to ensure efficient operations and communication on board the vessel. *Skills* * Must pass pre-employment drug screening. * Be physically capable of repetitively lifting and carrying in excess of 50lbs. * Good communication skills to work well within a team environment. * Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42.32-$45.42 per hour Expected hours: 40 ? 60 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * RRSP match * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * English not required Schedule: * 12 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Night shift * Overtime * Weekends as needed Language: * English (required) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-01-15- LocationCoquitlam, BC
