Steele Hotels is seeking a full-time permanent *Hotel Manager *to join our team at Sinbads Hotel and Suites, located in Gander, NL. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in customer service, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with a passion for people, and have experience leading a team. They would possess a positive "can-do" attitude and, a high level of professionalism, coupled with a strong work ethic, critical thinking skills, and an eye for details. The Hotel Manager will report directly to the General Manager. *Duties & Responsibilities*: · Oversee the daily operations, ensuring sufficient management, and providing strategic direction · Implement and enforce hotel policies and procedures · Develop and manage the hotel budget, ensuring revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled · Prepare regular reports for senior management detailing key performance indicators, financial metrics, and operational achievements · Conduct recruiting initiatives along with department supervisors · Ensure that the hotel facilities are well-maintained and meet quality standards · Ensure supervisors are training staff on all procedures, policies, and requirements for their role · Preparing inventory and month-end count and control · Resolve customer complaints when escalated to the hotel management level · Other duties, as assigned *Qualifications, Skills & Attributes: * · Strong customer service skills coupled with 5 years? experience working in a managerial role · Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or Hotel Management an asset · Exceptional communication and organization skills · Experience with budgeting and reporting structures · Strong leadership and interpersonal skills · Organized with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment *Why Work with Us* · Competitive salary package · Company RRSP matching plan to secure your financial future · Comprehensive health benefits, including dental and vision coverage · Wellness program, including counselling services and life coaching, through EFAP · Paid time off, including vacation time, sick leave, and statutory holidays If you are interested in this position and want to grow with us, we welcome you to apply via email at careers@steelehotels.com with Hotel Manager as the subject line by *January 5th, 2025.* We are an equal-opportunity employer.
