*Gwynne Valley Rural Academy (GVRA) invites applications for the following position: Full-Time Probationary Educational Assistant. (Please note that there are two positions available)* *GVRA is an innovative public charter school. With a focus on Early Vocational Exposure (EVE) and a commitment to the core values of dignity, innovation, symbiosis, and resilience, we are a team of dedicated educators providing students In Grades K-9 with a transformative education that prepares them for future success in both their chosen vocations and in life. * *We are located in the hamlet of Gwynne, approximately 26 km west of the City of Camrose and 14 km east of the City of Wetaskiwin.* *The ideal candidate will have:* * The ability to collaborate closely with professional staff * Experience working with children with diverse learning needs * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Confidence and patience * A passion for working with all students * A proven ability to work as a team member * Willingness to assist with our nutrition program and to help with school-wide special events and activities Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant would be considered an asset. Hours of work are 8:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. This position reports to the Principal, and works under the guidance and supervision of the classroom teacher.
