Pathways Health Centre for Children is a family-centred community agency serving children and youth with physical, developmental and communication needs and their families as well as adults for selected specialized services in Lambton County. The Centre provides a full range of family-centred rehabilitation and support services. Aquatic programs in our therapeutic pool are open to people of all ages and abilities in the community. There is also an integrated childcare service (C.A.C.H.É.) on site.

We are currently recruiting for two (2) permanent (40 hours per week):
*REGISTERED EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR (RECE)*
Under the direction of the Supervisor of C.A.C.H.É., the Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) will provide care and education to young children in an inclusive group setting, in accordance with the goals, curriculum plans, philosophy and policies of C.A.C.H.É. Child Care, Pathways Health Centre for Children and in compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA). To collaborate closely with other C.A.C.H.É. Child Care Service Staff, Pathways interdisciplinary team members and pertinent personnel from outside agencies regarding C.A.C.H.É. clients in order to provide consistent, seamless and effective care and programming in the classroom.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
* Early Childhood Education diploma Registered member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario
* Current Standard First Aid/CPR certification
* Understanding of and commitment to a routine/theme based child care approach
* Demonstrated understanding of the importance of using visual strategies with all children not just those with special needs
* Demonstrated understanding of importance of equity, diversity and inclusion and how to incorporate these into the overall philosophy of the program and into children?s daily activities/routines
* Understanding and acceptance of differences in children?s learning behaviour and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* A Police Vulnerable Sector Check and proof of applicable immunizations including the COVID-19 vaccination are also required.
