As the Automotive Service Manager at Canadian Tire Caledonia, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the automotive service department. Your primary objective will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the service center while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Team Leadership:* Lead and motivate a team of automotive service technicians, service advisors, and support staff. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* *Customer Service Excellence:* Uphold the highest standards of customer service by ensuring that all customer inquiries, concerns, and issues are addressed promptly and professionally. Strive to exceed customer expectations and build long-lasting relationships.
* *Operational Management:* Oversee day-to-day operations of the automotive service department, including scheduling appointments, allocating resources, and managing workflow to optimize efficiency and productivity.
* *Quality Assurance:* Ensure that all automotive services and repairs meet or exceed industry standards for quality and safety. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to uphold the integrity of our work.
* *Inventory Management:* Manage inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and associated costs.
* *Performance Monitoring:* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service department performance, such as service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Take proactive measures to address any issues or areas for improvement.
* *Compliance and Safety:* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices in automotive service operations.
* *Training and Development:* Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for service department staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Encourage continuous learning and professional growth. Additional automotive learning through CARS OnDemand.
*Qualifications:*
* Previous experience in automotive service management or a related field.
* Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in team management and development.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
* Solid understanding of automotive systems, parts, and repair procedures.
* Proficiency in automotive service software and systems.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Commitment to upholding high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive service management (e.g., Automotive Service Excellence certification) preferred.
