Then we're looking for you!</strong></p><p><strong>We are seeking a vibrant and driven Paralegal to join our team and nurture our business through providing litigation support, conducting searches to locate debtors, drafting and maintaining legal files, arranging payment plans and schedules, and attending court as required. </strong></p><p><strong>To be successful in this role, you will bring a P1 license, air-tight verbal communication in English, strong organizational skills, and a desire to learn and grow.</strong></p><p><strong>With demonstrated success, this is an opportunity to grow within TCR and within this field of litigation.</strong></p><p><br /><strong>Who Are We?</strong></p><p>Founded in 1980, Total Credit Recovery (TCR) is Canada's leading and largest Canadian-owned debt collection agency, and as such we represent some of the largest banks, credit cards, cell phone providers and government institutions. </p><p>Our mission is to be the model of integrity, innovation and service delivery excellence in the Canadian receivables management industry. Currently, we hold 4 offices across Canada and over 300 active employees.</p><p><strong>What Will You Do? </strong></p><ul><li>You will provide litigation support to meet the needs of TCR and its clients by conducting searches to locate debtors</li><li>Drafting and interpreting legal documents including templates </li><li>Organizing and maintaining legal files</li><li>Contacting debtors to negotiate payment plans and payment schedules in accordance with the debtor's financial situation and our clients' directives</li><li>Drafting pleadings and attending at court as required</li><li>Performing administrative tasks and clerical duties as required</li><li>Filing documents with any applicable court systems</li></ul><p><strong>Who Are You? </strong></p><ul><li>Must hold a P1 License and be in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario</li><li>Paralegal and/or Law Clerk diploma program from accredited college</li><li>Experience in the collections industry is an asset</li><li>Excellent oral and written communications skills with attention to detail</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a high volume of tasks and competing priorities</li><li>Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality </li><li>Ability to work both independently and within a team environment</li><li>Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative as required</li><li>Extremely organized, and detail orientated with the ability to anticipate requests and be pro-active.</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits</li><li>Friendly and fun work environment </li><li>Opportunities for advancement</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Total Credit Recovery (TCR) was founded by George Krieser with a notepad, phone, and an idea.
