*Job Overview* The Dime is a casual and trendy salon & barbershop in downtown Lethbridge, AB. Our barbers and stylists enjoy flexible working hours/time off. We are seeking a skilled and passionate hairstylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hair industry, cutting & color services, customer service skills, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients. As a stylist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality haircuts and chemical services while ensuring client satisfaction through excellent communication. We have a high standard and expect our stylist to be up to date with current trends and techniques. We offer access to classes and in house education on color and retail products. *Responsibilities* * Provide professional hair cutting, styling, color and grooming services tailored to clients' needs. * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and the overall salon environment. * Engage with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable styles or products. * Upsell hair care products and services to enhance the client experience. * Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and handling customer inquiries. * Build rapport with clients to foster loyalty and encourage repeat business. * Keep an up to date Instagram presences to serves as a portfolio for potential clients. * Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and grooming techniques. *Qualifications* * Certification required with minimum 2 years experience, as well as a strong client base. Sorry, not accepting apprentices at the moment. * Proven experience as a stylist and knowledge of the beauty industry. * Strong skills in hair styling techniques and knowledge of various grooming products. * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. * Experience in retail sales is a plus, with an aptitude for upselling products. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Must adhere to health and safety regulations regarding sanitation practices.
