Barber Collins security is looking for a Security Guard willing to commute to Cambridge, ON. *Candidates MUST have access to their *_*own personal*_ *vehicle as there is no bus access to this site and site is too far of a walking distance.* *Shifts*: * Full time - Nights. * Schedule is subject to change. * Must be available weekdays/weeknights, weekends and statutory holidays. * Must be extremely flexible and available. *Responsibilities:* * Protect company?s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. * Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. * Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. * Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. * Access control for the facility/area. * Ensuring that the facility?s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. * Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents. *Skills:* * Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. * Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. * Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. * Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. * Surveillance skills and detail orientation. * Integrity and professionalism. * Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. * Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills. *Barber-Collins Security welcomes and encourages qualified applications from people with disabilities.
