*Reports To: *Machining Manager
*Job Summary*
The Machinist, under the direction of the Machining Manager, will primarily be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery. This position will ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency. This role will also ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs. The Machinist must possess ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

*Job Duties*
* Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery
* Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency
* Ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety and quality standards, as well as customer needs
* Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of production
* Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times
* Follow manufacturing and processing procedures, set machine or equipment controls, carry out production and inspection processes
* Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on all equipment and tools
* Mark, record, and report defective products
* Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
* Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
* Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning, drilling, and precision grinding
* Lubricate, clean, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and tools
* Closely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications
* Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
* Position and install parts, subassemblies, and accessories using hand tools, power tools, and other aids like overhead hoists
*Job Requirements*
* Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
* Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
* Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
* Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
* Program & Operate 3 axis machines using Powermill
* 5+ years experience with 3D finishing and engineering changes
* 5+ years experience utilizing powermill
*Work Conditions*
* Must be willing to work swing shift (days/afternoons)
* Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
* Use of required personal protective equipment
* Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
* Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
* Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to (X) kilograms
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 ? 48 per week
