*JOB DESCRIPTION: MSO-1* *GENERAL INFORMATION:* *Job Title* MONITORING STATION OPERATOR [MSO-1]*Department* Monitoring Station *Contact* nlawson@secureway.ca *BASIC DESCRIPTION:* Monitor security alarms, answer phones, direct calls, Help maintain organization and cleanliness of the office environment. Maintain access and alarm database records, assist customers with questions and reports, remote programming of security and access systems, records and customer files. *QUALIFICATIONS* _The following are the principal qualifications for this position:_ * Comfortable with variable workloads * Detail oriented individual who is comfortable meeting aggressive deadlines * Energetic team player that works well with other team members * Time management and organizational skills * Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy * Self motivated reliable and trustworthy * Positive, friendly demeanor * Professional appearance * Able to work at a computer for long periods of time. * Must be available to work hours as required by changing shift dynamics. * Familiarity with software systems (Manitou, Kantech, M8) and internal processes * Troubleshooting capabilities and techniques * Computer skills such as Docs (Word), Sheets (Excel). * Follow, and provide oral and written instructions * Maintain cooperative working relationships * Education: OSSD, or equivalent. * Experience: Industry experience monitoring security alarms and working with access control systems and asset. Secureway will train MCO L1 and MCO L2 industry-sponsored programs (must be completed). *KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Key duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. The following duties are listed both as specific and shared responsibilities, other duties may be assigned as required to meet demands of the business. * Monitor Security Alarms & CCTV Systems * Program LTE/GSM communicators * Maintain access and alarm database records, assist customers with questions and reports, remote programming of security and access * Work with Alarm.com products and services to configure and troubleshoot customer systems * Upload/download/Program control panels * Uphold and promotes Secureway founding principles * Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing necessary information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulations * Prepare documentation in a variety of written and electronic formats (e.g. daily paperwork, time and materials, customer files, programming records) * Maintain cleanliness of the office environment * Create Maintain and follow company SOP records Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Monday to Friday * Night shift * Weekends as needed Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2025-04-07
