This is an opportunity to build a rewarding career while making a real difference in the safety and security of our clients and communities.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong><span style="line-height:107%;">Position Summary</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong>K9 Handler Security Specialist - Langdale, BC</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10pt;">We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our elite K9 team, providing <strong>Protection, Explosive, and Narcotics Detection services</strong> across a variety of high-profile sites.</span></p><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong>Day-to-Day Responsibilities</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong>K9 Operations & Security Support:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Provide K9 protection support in accordance with established procedures, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, clients, and property.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Conduct explosive or narcotics detection as directed by the K9 Manager, including searches of provisions, vehicles, equipment, air cargo, and facilities.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Prepare, maintain, and update documentation to ensure thorough training, performance tracking, and compliance for assigned canines.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Maintain the health, safety, and well-being of assigned K9s in the field, kennels, and at home, including feeding, exercise, and proper care.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Respond promptly to calls, incidents, and requests from the Site Operations Manager.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Conduct routine inspections of K9 equipment, including leashes, crates, harnesses, and detection tools, ensuring readiness at all times.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Participate in emergency response situations and coordinate with police and other emergency services to ensure the K9 team is deployed safely and effectively.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Provide guidance and support to junior team members regarding K9 handling, safety, and operational procedures.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Document and maintain comprehensive reports, including occurrences, incidents, and patrol activities, as needed.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong>Qualifications & Requirements</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong>Experience & Skills:</strong></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">2+ years of security experience OR strong customer service background.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Previous Police, Law Enforcement, or Security K9 experience is an asset.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Exceptional report writing and communication skills.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Customer service and solutions-focused mindset.</span></li><li><span style="font-size:10pt;">Ability to work independently and follow direction effectively.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size:10pt;"><strong>L- Location Gibsons, BC
