The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li><li>Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.</li><li>Process payroll and maintain payroll records.</li><li>Prepare and file HST/GST, payroll remittances, and other government filings.</li><li>Monitor cash flow and assist with financial analysis.</li><li>Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.</li><li>Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.</li><li>Support management with financial reporting and special projects as required.</li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is considered an asset</li><li>CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks online or similar platforms.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, ect.. </li><li>Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax regulations.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.</li></ul><p>Preferred Skills</p><ul><li>Experience in the landscaping, construction, property management, or service industry is an asset.</li><li>Knowledge of job costing and project-based accounting.</li><li>Experience preparing year-end working papers for external accountants.</li></ul><p>What We Offer</p><ul><li>Competitive salary based on experience.</li><li>Benefits.</li><li>Professional development opportunities.</li><li>Supportive and collaborative work environment.</li><li>Opportunities for career growth within the company.</li></ul></div></div>- Location Etobicoke, ON
