Our client, a leading food processing and distribution company, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented <strong>Cost Accountant</strong> to join their team in Burlington.<br><br>This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial and operational performance of a manufacturing facility, with <strong>significant potential for professional growth.</strong> If you are a proactive individual with a s<strong>trong background in cost accounting </strong>within <strong>ideally a manufacturing environment</strong> and have S<strong>AP knowledge</strong> (bonus!), this role offers the autonomy to establish processes and make a tangible impact.<br><br>What our client has to offer:<ul>	<li>Competitive salary range of $75,000 to $90,000	<li>Hybrid work environment (one day remote)	<li>Opportunities for professional development and advancement within a growing organization	<li>Autonomy to establish and streamline processes</ul><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><ul>	<li>Analyze variances in the P&L statement, with a specific focus on Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).	<li>Identify the main drivers behind observed variances.	<li>Contribute to planning and forecasting activities.	<li>Perform month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and provide insightful commentary.	<li>Dissect direct material, direct labor, and overhead to align with the overall P&L.	<li>Actively participate in the SAP S4 HANA integration.	<li>Establish and streamline financial processes to enhance efficiencies within the organization.	<li>Collaborate with various departments, engaging on the production floor to understand daily operations and build strong working relationships.</ul><br><strong>Qualifications:</strong><ul>	<li>3+ years of solid experience in cost accounting within ideally a manufacturing environment.	<li>SAP knowledge is highly preferred, or experience with other large ERP systems	<li>Ability to analyze BOMs	<li>Bachelor's degree (BBA or BCom) in finance or accounting	<li>Strong communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships and challenge the status quo.</ul><br>#ACC1 This posting is for an open vacancy currently available within our client's organization.
