*Job Summary* _*We are looking for a housekeeper to join our dynamic health care team in this mental health care home environment. *_ We are looking for a professional hard working individual to engage and collaborate with residents while contributing to a clean organized environment. This person will have strong skills in organization, prioritization, be flexible and a team player. We are looking for someone who enjoys people and has the ability to adapt and work with the team through changing priorities. This person will enjoy organizing, engaging with residents with a caring professional attitude while providing cleaning services in in a dynamic environment. Someone who can thrive on routine and be flexible and responsive in the moment. _*Psychosocial rehabilitation (also termed psychiatric rehabilitation, or PSR) promotes personal recovery, successful community integration and satisfactory quality of life for persons who have a mental illness or mental health concern. Psychosocial rehabilitation services and supports are collaborative, person directed, and individualized, and an essential element of the human services spectrum. The focus is on helping individuals develop skills and access resources needed to increase their capacity to be successful and satisfied in the living, working, learning and social environments of their choice and include a wide continuum of services and supports.*_ *Responsibilities* * Perform thorough residential cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. * Organize and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the home, ensuring an inviting atmosphere for residents and guests. * Launder linens and towels as needed, ensuring they are fresh and well-presented. * Help with kitchen duties (dishes, sanitizing dining and cooking spaces) * Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific cleaning needs while engaging with staff for care planning * Adhere to safety protocols and use cleaning supplies responsibly to maintain a safe environment. * Provide exceptional service by engaging with and responding to the director of care in connection with the residents *Experience* * Previous experience in care home / residential cleaning is preferred * Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail * Excellent time management abilities to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes * Ability to communicate effectively in English * A background in care home or hospital environments is advantageous, enhancing the overall experience for residents * The ability to be responsive and flexible to respond to changing needs Join our team as a Housekeeper and contribute to creating a clean, comfortable living space and a healthy living environment for the residents of this care home Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $22.51-$24.08 per hour Benefits: * Company pension * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Paid time off * Vision care Language: * English (required) Work Location: In person- Location Osoyoos, BC
