Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Surveying technology/surveying. Civil drafting and civil engineering CAD/CADD. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Consulting firm. Data processing and computers. Civil (road and bridge construction, etc.). Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Develop and prepare design sketches. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Survey and lay out subdivisions for rural and urban development. Create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings with computer-aided design (CAD). Create three-dimensional (3-D) models with computer-aided design (CAD). Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AutoCAD Certification. Civil engineering technology (CVT). Drafting Trade Certification. Certification by a provincial or territorial association.
