Notice of Employment Opportunity Maintenance Worker, AquaticABOUT THE ROLEThe Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking casual Aquatic Maintenance Workers based at the Ravensong Aquatic Centre (RAC) in Qualicum Beach. This position contributes to the effective operation of the Recreation Department through the maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of the RAC, including inspecting and cleaning all areas on a routine basis, maintaining the exterior, grounds, and signage, being responsible for building security, and assisting in routine maintenance of operating systems and equipment.QUALIFICATIONSQualifications include a high school diploma, Pool Operators Level 1 Certificate, Building Maintenance Course, plus one to three years of prior job-related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.POSITION DETAILSThese are casual union positions. The (2024) rate of pay for the position is $31.26 to $32.90 per hour.
