*Refrigeration HVAC Mechanic* Standard Mechanical Systems Limited ? Thunder Bay, ON (P7G) *Job Overview* We are seeking a skilled Journeyman HVAC Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and repair various HVAC equipment. The HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and effectively, providing comfort and safety in commercial and industrial environments. A G1 Gas License is preferred. *Responsibilities* * Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including heating units, air conditioning systems, and ventilation equipment. * Perform routine inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance. * Troubleshoot mechanical problems using schematics and technical manuals. * Weld components as necessary to ensure proper installation and repair of HVAC systems. * Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure comprehensive service delivery. * Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to prevent accidents and injuries. * Provide current copies of all licenses including a Drivers Abstract (upon hiring). *Experience* * Proven experience as an HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic. * Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience, and system maintenance. * Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to HVAC installations. * Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes. * Experience with boilers is a plus.
