*What does a Planner do?*
* Analyze production requirements and capacity data
* Establish a production schedule based on customer demand and the availability of raw materials. Maintain a machine schedule and effectively communicate requirements to the production team for implementation
* Monitor jobs to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
* Address any issues that arise with the goal of minimizing disruption to the workflow
* Schedule and expedite parts from suppliers and sister plants. Develop and implement contingency plans when necessary, keeping management informed of the actions taken
* Revise planning in response to changes from both dependent and independent demands, as well as adjustments in inventory and corrections to Bills of Material
* Expedite operations and materials that are at risk of not meeting delivery schedules
* Participate in projects and Kaizen activities aimed at cost-saving initiatives
* · Complete weekly reports and prepare any necessary information for management
* Serve as the primary contact for sales, manufacturing, and logistics teams, determining resource constraints and developing plans to meet customer requirements
* Maintain communication with customer service regarding schedules, releases, and deliveries
* Schedule the delivery of materials, supplies, equipment, and services according to the company's operational needs
* Investigate and resolve problems arising from material shortages, regardless of the cause
* Attend weekly and monthly production planning meetings
* May assume or assist with purchasing functions as needed
* ·Analyze areas where production requirements and business goals have not been met and develop new strategies to achieve these objectives
*What you bring to the table*
* 2+ years? experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment
* Demonstrated strong leadership and communications skills
* Strong attention to detail and urgency to follow up on critical issues
* Manufacturing background (preferred)
* Must be legally able to travel
* Speak Spanish (preferred)
