Thompson Rivers University’s Wildfire Centre is expecting to launch Canada’s first wildfire discipline program in fall 2025. The centre has received approval for five new certificates and a diploma program focusing on wildfire training, education, and research. Faculty recruitment is currently underway.

The University of Victoria is establishing a new Faculty of Health to meet growing health-care needs in Canada. The Faculty of Health will incorporate Medical Sciences, Nursing, Exercise Science, Physical and Health Education, Public Health and Social Policy, Social Work, and Health Information Science.
