According to a recent report by the Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology, and Entrepreneurship Council, the technology sector accounted for close to $5.9B in direct revenue. The report states that the sector has boomed since the global pandemic, with employment rising from almost 17K in 2017 to 20K in 2023.
